| Apocynaceae family Metastelma parviflorum (Swartz) R. Brown ex Schultes, Syst. Veg. 6: 120. 1820. Bas.: Cynanchum parviflorum Swartz (1788). West Indian endemic. Vine of Atlantic deciduous seasonal forest at about 200m. elevation. Very rare but established, not a waif. Native to Cuba, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands (Guana, St. Croix, St. John, St.Thomas, Tortola, Virgin Gorda), Lesser Antilles (Antigua,Guadeloupe, St. Eustatius, St. Lucia), and Tobago. Twining stems form a nest-like structure, about 2-3 metres above ground. |
