Naturalized aquatic herb of shallow, calm coastal waters along the Caribbean coast, around yachting centres.
Native to Western Indian Ocean, Red Sea and East Africa, Persian Gulf, to southwestern coast of India.
Apparently a recent arrival here, probably carried by yachts. A large amount at Marigot, so an (potential) invasive if it is found to be harmful in any way. Research is required.
