| To
treat a pulled muscle or swollen glands, grate a seed of the avocado
pear, Persea americana, mix it with clay and vinegar to make a paste,
and apply. For indigestion make a tea with a little piece of
avocado pear, a branch of zeb a ve (Chenopodium ambrosioides), leaves
of guava (Psidium guajava) and ponm kannel (Annona
squamosa). The white pear is used with nine leaves of soursop
(Annona muricata) to make a tea for high blood pressure. Verna Slane 1987 |
