West Indian endemic.
Very rare herb of exposed dry, rocky areas on Gros Piton.
St. Barthélemy, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, the Grenadines, Grenada, Barbados, Greater Antilles (Cuba, Hispaniola), Virgin Islands.
Howard (FLA) lists Justicia sphaerosperma Vahl; however my specimen has been determined as Justicia periplocifolia. Either or both taxons might be present in the Lesser Antillean islands listed above.
