Quite rare, mainly found on the Caribbean coast.
St. Barthélemy, Antigua, Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, La Désirade, Marie Galante, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, the Grenadines, Grenada, Barbados, Greater Antilles. 

Also a cultivated ornamental
