Indigenous quite rare low trailing herb of dry coastal savanna and open rocky spots.
Widespread in the tropics, native range obscure.
Very similar to Evolvulus convolvuloides.   
E. nummularius has a 4mm. flower stalk and petals with lobes, and the flower tends to be whiter.
