Euphorbia ophthalmica
, Syn. Pl. 2: 13.  1806.
Syn.: Chamaesyce ophthalmica (Persoon) D. G. Burch (1966).

Indigenous herb of coastal sand, observed at Vigie cemetery, Castries.
St. Barthélemy, Barbuda, Antigua, St. Eustatius, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia, Barbados, rest of West Indies, North America, Mesoamerica, South America.

Smaller-leafed and lower than the very common Euphorbia hirta.  Although also often more purple, either species can vary from green to deep purple so this is not a useful characteristic to distinguish them.
