t in Sauvalle, Anales Acad. Ci. Méd. Habana. 5: 337.  1869.
Bas.: Stenolobium caeruleum Bentham (1837).

Indigenous.
Vine of semi-open and open wet areas and fences.
Common around Union, Castries, rare/absent elsewhere.
St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Greater Antilles (Cuba, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico), Tobago, Trinidad, Mesoamerica, South America.
I believe this species may have been introduced as a cover crop (at Dept. Agriculture, Union?) and became naturalized.
