Lesser Antillean endemic.
Quite common shrub of lower montane rainforest.
Antigua, Nevis, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, Marie Galante, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, the Grenadines.

Very similar to Piper dilatatum. See images for differences. Piper dussii is usually found at higher elevations but mixed populations are found around the forest edge.
