Lesser Antillean endemic
Quite common herb of open and semi-open very wet areas at the higher elevations, including elfin shrubland.
St. Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada, Tobago.

Isachne disperma is listed for St. Lucia in FLA but our species seems to key out to me as Isachne arundinacea. Howard has also labelled a herbarium specimen Isachne arundinacea.  Howard also states these two may not be 'specifically distinct'.
