Chrysopogon zizanioides
For babies with colic, three inches of the root of Chrysopogon zizanioides, a make pumpkin flower (Cucurbita pepo) and a branch of mint (Mentha nemorosa) is boiled and the tea given to the infant. A woman who wishes to prevent pregnancy is told to boil a piece of khus khus root in a cup of water until the water is reduced to half. When it cools, she drinks the water, put the root in a bottle, and buries it until she wishes to get pregnant, at which time she will uncover it. This is to work for animals, too.
